Steampunk Butterfly Necklace Giveaway!

I am having a contest on my facebook page that is running now through April 7th. All you need to do is go to this photo, share it, and like my Bionic Unicorn page. When you share the photo, make sure the setting is on "public" so that I can see your post. Otherwise I won't know that you entered.

What do you win? I am going to create a custom butterfly necklace for the winner. The winner will be able to choose the color of the butterfly pendant, as well as the colors of the flowers and jewels.

Weekly Inspirations: Lots of Lavender + Cutie Spooky

This week I am inspired by the color lavender. It is a light and ethereal color that holds a sense of happy mystery. Lavender is also the hair color that I want the most - although I am nervous to try it. You have to mega bleach your hair - as yellow undertones make purple turn mucky. So for now, lavender remains my unobtainable color. I also love lavender when paired with things that are cute, spooky, or a little bit off. 

  

  

   

Weekly Inspirations: Grounding and Prosperity

It's easy for me to get lost in design concepts, so I like to take a step back to meditate and open my mind. They say you come up with your best ideas when the mind is free to wander. This week I am focusing on the element of earth. To me the earth element symbolizes calm, warmth, prosperity, family, and well being. I also think of elves, dragons, crystals, and earth mythology. Lunar Mythology Rings

New rings are in my Etsy shop! Steampunk moon rings with hand painted rhinestones in shades of silver and gold. I also have vintage West German glass rings with iridescent tones - the perfect statement ring for a neo Victorian look. Weekly Inspiration: Fairy Nightsongs

This week I am working on jewelry for TeslaCon, my favorite Steampunk convention. I am expanding my Lunar Mythology collection and working on a new ring design - watch my facebook page for a preview later this week.
As I mentioned in a prior post, I have been trying to defend my psyche against the early winter blahs.
